Sam's Place - Rustic Retreat

The owner wanted an inviting house in the woods for his friends and family. Arktikos designed this house using reclaimed barn siding and timbers; millwork and railings sawn from salvaged red pine logs; recycled metal roofing for the interior. Built in bunks and custom shower contribute to the uniqueness of the place.

Owner Doug Seim has forty five years of construction experience ranging from historic restoration to remodeling to new construction; building from footings to hand framed roofs, timber framing, and shop produced millwork for interior trim, cabinets, storage units, and doors. Arktikos can re-saw salvaged barn timbers and siding to create unique paneling, wainscoting, and interior trim.
